WAASA INAABIDAA - WE LOOK IN ALL DIRECTIONS

#101 Gakina-awiiya — We Are All Related

This episode explores the Ojibwe relationship with the natural environment before European contact, and how the land and lives of Ojibwe people were dramatically altered when this delicate balance clashed with the Euro-American philosophies of resource exploitation, treaties, land ownership and reservations. Finally, viewers learn about Ojibwe self-determination in the late 20th century, which firmly reconnects the traditional Ojibwe relationship with all living things.
