Video Instructions
Throughout the semester you will be asked to to watch and review several videos. You are expected to include some comments about the videos in your weekly ‘Lecture Power Points’.
-To access the videos, click the link below.
-The videos are in ‘Quicktime’.
-You need to down load the video before
watching (around 250mb)
-Some videos will be links to other websites
-Any video you watch is with the understanding
that it is a ‘one time use’
Vacation Instructions
-You need to submit three vacations
-Submit the vacations at the end of the week
you are assigned to read about the region
-There are six possible options
-You need to do three of the six
-The outline indicates when they are due
-The ‘vacation?’ are possible due dates
-Your choice for which vacations
-Will not be accepted late
-The complete instructions are on the top of the
geo-site.net page...click on ‘Vacations’

Generally Each week: Throughout the Semester:
-One or Two Power Point Lectures -Three Vacations
-One or Two Exercises
-One Quiz (7 total)
Exercise Instructions
-Each week you have one or two activities to
complete as indicated in the outline
-The Activity is in the Weekly Website Link
-Activity/Exercise is due at the end of the week
-Due Sunday 11:59 pm on week indicated
-Download the activity questions
-Use links on the webpage or internet research
to complete activity
-Type answers on the download or print it and
then turn in a copy of your answers
-You need to answer most of the Questions
-Be sure to save it ‘Last Name..Topic’
-Submit in geo-site.net drop box
-Be sure to close document before uploading
Weekly Lecture Instructions
-Each week you have one or two PPT Lectures
to complete as indicated in the outline
-PPT Lecture is due at the end of the week
-Due Sunday 11:59 pm on week indicated
-Download My Power Point Lecture
-My lectures on line do not contain words
-Your assignment is to create dialogue to go
with my lecture Power Point
-You do not have to use all of my slides and
you may include additional images or links
-Use links on the webpage or internet research
to complete Power Point
-Each Power point should be around 20 slides
-Be sure to save it ‘Last Name..Topic’
-Submit in geo-site.net drop box
-Be sure to close document before uploading
-Be sure to include comments about videos
Project Instructions
The Seated Minnesota Geography classes have Final Projects. . Since the online class is already submitting weekly work, there is no Final Project for the Online Class.
The seated classes have four options There are examples of the seated class Projects on the link at the top of the geo-site.net web site entitled ‘Projects’.
Communication
Communicating with Instructor:
-Put ‘online class’ in subject bar when emailing
-I check emails daily, but not late at night.
I will get back to you. Be patient.
-I do not have seated office hours in the
Summer Session unless arranged
(email only - do not phone)
Communications from me to you:
-Check the email in the class list for
D2L on a regular basis as I may send out
mass emails to clarify information.
-Weekly instructions are posted on my website
as a link on the course outline
Quiz Instructions
-Quiz is posted in D2L
-Due Sunday 11:59 pm end of week indicated
-Quiz is over readings and
materials you developed
-Save quiz as you work on it
-Can only be submitted once
-Do not submit until completely finished
-All quizzes are counted
